Before we started Divadend, I spent many nights with achy bunions.  Mornings would start with me surveying my shoe selection to decide which shoes I could bear to wear that day and then planning an outfit accordingly.  In fact, that's how Caroline and I came up with the concept that Divadend would end the debate between the shoes we love and the shoes we wear.  I certainly wasn't loving the shoes I was choosing to accommodate my foot ailments.

The Footwear Industry Is Hearing Us

Recently, I vacationed in Italy.  The constant focus on walking, exploring and comfort was front and center, all day, every day.  Distraction from foot pain could not be tolerated while walking through the wonderful cities of Venice, Florence, Rome, Milan, and Vigevano or while trekking through the picturesque hiking trails and towns of Cinque Terre.  There was simply too much to see and do. As it turned out, the only 'distraction' was looking at what others were wearing on their feet.

A Tribute to Wanda Ferragamo

With no experience, Wanda Ferragamo assumed the Presidency of Salvatore Ferragamo in 1960 when her husband passed away and leaving her with six children. Her youngest child at the time was two. She was determined to carry on what her husband had built.

Making the Most of a Long Weekend Ski Trip

At Divadend we're all about making the most of life - whether it's being productive in our professional lives or maximizing our leisure time with friends and family.  Recently I was lucky enough to do the latter in joining my brother and two sisters along with our spouses in Park City, Utah for a 3-day ski trip. We gathered from Boston, Chicago, Santa Monica and Sydney.  Despite my ties to Vail where my husband and I met while living there, I have to say that it's hard to beat Park City / Deer Valley for a ski trip.
