Support Small Business Saturday: Divadend Footwear Favorites 2019

Please join us in supporting Small Business Saturday this weekend (and throughout the year).  Independent retailers are vital to the fabric of communities and provide curated creative merchandise.  For all of us who enjoy strolling through a town center near home or on vacation, let's do more than browse at our favorite shops. Who doesn't appreciate having justification to buy that special item you discover!

We still enjoy what we shared in 2017 and 2018 and are excited to share a few more favorite small businesses that not only do we love to visit, but also admire the founders' talents and stories:

Sue Fisher King, a must see when visiting San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood. Uplifting, it offers the finest in home design and gifts and you will be hard pressed to leave empty handed. We especially appreciate that one of their values is levity!

Sara Campbell is a Boston-based women's apparel fashion designer and clothing store with 25 boutiques across the US  many located in popular vacation destinations. Her fashion line brilliantly combines on-trend with timeless style. She is admired for her talent, charisma, business savvy, loyalty to manufacturing in the US and her philosophy of giving back to communities through hosting give back events in her boutiques. She recently invited Divadend Footwear to participate in a give-back event for the Ellie Fund, providing essential support services for breast cancer patients.

The Foundry Home Goods in Minneapolis offers simple, useful and beautiful objects for the homeFounder Anna Hillegasse set out to create a place to offer staples that would make everyday living easier and more beautiful. The Foundry supports a life long relationship with well-made and thoughtfully curated goods, encouraging a non-disposable life style. Does it get better than that? No wonder they are featured in the December 2019 issue of House Beautiful magazine.

Bardonna in Santa Monica (also in Brentwood, Larchmont and DTLA) is a spot we make a point of hitting whenever in the LA area for their fresh creative food and drinks that epitomize California.  This is the first place we had avocado toast and none of the ubiquitous versions have measured up. We love Some of the best people watching, too!

Setting the Space is a Cape Cod area furnishings store and staging company that offers a fresh take on coastal-inspired home design.  There's so much to take in that we visit the stores over and over again discovering something new each time.

Covet, a contemporary women’s consignment shop located in two Boston neighborhoods, South Boston and Beacon Hill. The founder was inspired to launch these stores as a #sidehustle and based on her love of shopping. Both locations offer beautiful, clean spaces with cool on-trend pieces.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season! Divadend Footwear
